Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Planning a kitchen, bathroom, roof or whole home remodel in Queens or Nassau County? Below are the questions homeowners ask us most often. If you do not see yours, contact us and we will answer it directly.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Estimates are free for homeowners. We visit your home, look at the space and existing conditions, listen to your goals and then provide an accurate, detailed written estimate covering scope, materials and stages of work. A one-time nominal fee applies only for those already under contract.

How long does a typical remodeling project take?
It depends on the scope. A bathroom remodel often takes a few weeks, a kitchen a few weeks to a couple of months, and a whole home renovation or addition can take several months. Some jobs move very quickly: one customer's roof replacement was finished in a single day.
Your estimate includes the stages of work, and we keep you updated if anything behind the walls changes the plan.
What warranty do you provide?
Every Procraft project is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty. If an issue with our workmanship appears within that first year, we come back and make it right. Manufacturer warranties on products such as windows, roofing materials or composite decking are separate and depend on the products you choose.
Do you work in co-op apartments and older homes?
Yes. We regularly remodel kitchens and bathrooms in co-op buildings, including a bathroom in a 1938 co-op, and we work on older Queens and Nassau County houses. We plan for the hidden conditions older buildings often have and coordinate the board paperwork and building requirements with you.
One customer wrote: "I had my kitchen remodeled in an old co-op building and they did awesome." Emir H.
Do you handle permits and co-op or HOA paperwork?
We handle the required permits for the work we perform and coordinate co-op board and HOA paperwork alongside you, so you are not left chasing forms on your own. We will tell you early in planning what your building or association typically asks for and help keep the approvals moving.
Is the owner on site during my project?
Yes. Procraft is veteran-owned, and the owner is regularly on our job sites. He oversees the crew, checks the details and listens to any concerns that come up. As one customer put it, "Glen will listen to any concerns that may come up on your job. Very reliable workers." Barbara M.
Can I choose my own materials and finishes?
Absolutely. We offer customized designs and personalized solutions built around your vision and budget. We help you choose cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, fixtures, siding, roofing and decking, and explain the trade-offs between options. If you have already picked products, we can work with those too.
Can we live at home while you remodel?
In most cases, yes. For kitchen, bathroom, window, roofing and exterior projects, families usually stay at home while we work. We plan the sequence of work to keep essential rooms usable where possible, protect the rest of the house and clean up at the end of each day. For larger whole home renovations we will talk through the best plan with you.
Which areas do you serve?
We are based in Bellerose, NY and serve Bellerose, Floral Park, New Hyde Park, Great Neck, North Hills, Franklin Square, Garden City, Garden City Park, Westbury, Hempstead, Elmont, Mineola, Queens Village, Little Neck and Bayside. See every community we serve, with local remodeling details for each town.
How can I contact Procraft Design & Construction?
You can reach us at (917) 410-5881 or [email protected], and our office is at 237-45 93rd Ave, Bellerose, NY 11426.
What does a kitchen remodel with Procraft include?
A kitchen remodel can include a redesigned layout, new cabinets and islands, countertops, flooring, lighting and space for modern appliances. One customer said we renovated a kitchen that had not been updated in 30+ years, "including redesigning the kitchen layout to fit modern features and appliances." Philip D.
What bathroom remodeling services do you offer?
Our bathroom remodeling covers full renovations, custom shower installation, tub-to-walk-in-shower conversions, new tile, vanities and fixtures. As one customer described it: "We removed a tub and created a walk in shower." Deirdre F.
Do you handle roofing, siding, windows and doors?
Yes. We provide roof repair and replacement, exterior renovation and siding and window and door replacement. Combining exterior work under one team makes it easier to schedule and keeps one company accountable for how everything fits together.
Do you build home additions, garages and decks?
Yes. We build home additions, room extensions and garages as well as custom decks, patios and outdoor living spaces, including composite (Trex) decks. For larger transformations, see our whole home remodeling service.
Is your crew safety certified?
Yes. Our team is OSHA certified, and we keep job sites organized and safe for your family throughout the project. We are also proud to work with Building Homes for Heroes.
